A very wet Crowwood Golf Club played host to our seventh annual Golf Challenge this month. A total of 27 players in eight teams competed for our much-coveted Challenge Cup.
The winning team was made up of Patrick Fitch (ICT), Derek Tarres (facilities management), Andy Hill (Response Centre) and Martin McElhinney (human resources). Runners up were Wendy Stewart, Stuart Cameron and Joe Gallagher, and third place went to Thomas McFalls, Chris Fabiani, Jim McKnight and Joe Hamilton.
Other winners included Stuart Cameron (longest men drive), Wendy Stewart (longest ladies drive), and Thomas McFalls, Patrick Fitch and Stuart Cameron who all won nearest the pin medals.
Our annual golf challenge is one of the highlights of Cordia’s social calendar and is open to staff from across the organization. This year’s players included staff from our home care division; facilities management; the Response Centre; Encore; Blair Court; Cordia Learning and EquipU. Regular players also include David Melvin, managing director and Andy Clark, finance director.
David said: “The golf tournament is a great chance for staff from all areas to meet people they might never come across. New friendships are forged and we see more and more people return each year. It’s a great day out.”
