Heart of Gold hat trick

Heart of Gold awards were presented to three TASS staff members

An incredible three heart of gold awards have been presented to staff at TASS.

Drivers Margaret Brown, Alastair Rew and Jim Muirhead all went above and beyond the call of duty whilst carrying out their role.

Margaret received her heart of gold for reacting to an extremely difficult situation with a home care service user.

Margaret said: “My many years’ experience previously working within home care simply kicked in.” Very modest indeed!

Alastair was awarded a heart of gold for the positive impact he had on one of our younger service users. This was recognised by both the service user’s foster carer and social worker, who took the time to write to Willie Darroch, area operations manager in TaSS.

Jim was presented with a heart of gold to add to his growing collection of awards.

Jim has won Cordia’s staff recognition employee of the year award for the past two years running.  On this occasion, Jim sprung to the rescue of a member of the public who had fallen and injured himself.

Willie Darroch who presented the awards to all three staff said “I’m really pleased for Margaret, Alastair and Jim as it’s thoroughly deserved.  It’s a fantastic achievement for one of our staff to be awarded a Heart of Gold, but to present three is incredible!

It just highlights the great work being carried out at TASS every day.”

Congratulations to all three team members.
