MANAGING DIRECTOR
David is the Managing Director of Cordia and has overall responsibility for the running of the organisation.
David's key role is to effectively manage the resources of the organisation delivering frontline services. He is responsible for ensuring that the objectives of the business plan are met. In addition to this direct management function, David works with a number of external customer and partner agencies such as Glasgow City Council, the Scottish Government, the Food Standards Agency, and the Health and Safety Executive. David is regularly involved in handling media enquiries and providing comments and interviews for print, online and television. He is also a leading member of the Cordia board.
He is responsible for developing new business opportunities along with the various Heads of Service, as well as expanding the services at the LDC Training Centre and Equipu Equipment store.
A major driver in Cordia's success will be in both increasing business opportunities as well as delivering the existing services more efficiently.
David is a member of the Executive Management Team which has responsibility for the strategic management and the business planning for all of our key operational areas. David also drives the need for change and is the director responsible for implementing our cultural change programe "The Cordia Way".
David was Operations Director for 15 years before becoming Cordia's Managing Director. Prior to joining Cordia, David worked for Glasgow City Council as a Depute Director. He has also worked for Lothian Regional Council as General Manager and in the private sector where he was a Regional Oerations Manager for a facilities management company who had contracts throughout Scotland.
