OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

David is Cordia’s Operations Director and has responsibility for the day to day operational activities including HR, ICT and the key areas of Facilities Management, Care and Encore.

He is responsible for developing new business opportunities along with the various Heads of Service, as well as expanding the services at the LDC Training Centre and Equipu Equipment store.

A major driver in Cordia's success will be in both increasing business opportunities as well as delivering the exisiting services more efficiently.

David is a member of the Executive Management Team which has responsibility for the strategic management and the business planning for all of our key operational areas.
 
He  is responsible for the strategic management of the services we provide in all of  our key operating areas. David is committed to ensuring that Cordia’s values are understood and promoted throughout our 8,300 strong workforce. He also drives the need for change and is the director responsible for implementing our cultural change programe "The Cordia Way".
 
David is a member of the Cordia board and reports on operational activities as well as new business and strategic initiatives at board meetings.

Prior to joining Cordia, David worked for Glasgow City Council as a Depute Director.He has also worked for Lothian Regional Council as General Manager and in the private sector where he was a Regional Oerations Manager for a facilities management company who had contracts throughout Scotland.

NOTE
On a temporary basis, David is also responsible for delivery of facilities management services to schools and other public buildings. Over 5,000 team members deliver services that keep buildings open, welcoming and pleasant to visit and to work in. Key frontline services include janitorial, building cleaning, catering services and the school crossing patrol service.
