HEAD OF OPERATIONS (CARE SERVICES)
Frances is responsible for the day to day operation of all major care services provided to our partner, Glasgow City Council's Social Work Services.
With a client base in Glasgow of over 10,000 vulnerable and elderly people, Frances' 3,000 home care team provide over 70,000 care hour visits each week, 52 weeks of the year.
Frances' highly motivated team of front line staff are well trained and fully disclosed to ensure that the highest standard of service provision is in place.Services include mainstream home support services as well as a rapid response service for those leaving hospital. Enhanced home care services also ensures that clients with specialised needs get a more intense level of care. These services are registered by the Care Commission and are inspected on an annual basis.
Frances is also responsible for Cordia’s rapid response alarm service. This dedicated unit ensures that 21,000 clients have a 24/7 response service that can react within seconds if there is an issue in their homes such as a fall, fire or illness. This may include contacting the emergency services, carers, next of kin or taking direct action and sending out a response team.
As well as home care, Frances also looks after corporate procurement and the EquipU service. This service provides living aids for the elderly, under contract, to six local authorities around the West of Scotland and NHS Glasgow and Clyde. EquipU has been recognised as a best practice model for collaboration and front line service delivery across 26% of the Scottish population.
Frances takes an active role in a number of charities and has been an active supporter of The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow as well as being a trustee of HIT Scotland for the past seven years.
