Lynn is responsible for all aspects of staff development within Cordia including selection and recruitment, induction, career development and staff support.
Lynn's dedicated team of human resources and office support staff provide services to Cordia's 8,500 employees.
Lynn is responsible for the Learning Centre; a custom built centre which delivers a range of training programmes designed to develop staff. The centre also provides legislative training and the organisation's health and food safety function.
Cordia Learning is the commercial arm of Cordia's training and development team and delivers a wide range of training programmes to both the private and public sector including load management, first aid, and SVQ's among others. Independent Learning Accounts (ILA's) are offered to both Cordia staff and private customers.
Lynn is committed to developing Cordia staff, and to the development of an integrated programme that provides opportunites to all staff from every area of the business. This includes the development of new managerial talent as well as teambuilding, and the development of craft and technical skills among team members.
Lynn has worked in the local authority environment since 1980 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Lynn is also a board member of the charity "Springboard Scotland" which aims to bring young people into the catering, event and hospitality industry. Lynn has also been invited to join the Glasgow Tourism Service Initiative to look at skill shortages facing Glasgow's tourism and hospitality sectors.
