RUTH BLACK
Ruth is an elected member of Glasgow City Council representing Ward 4, Craigton.
JENNIFER DUNN
Jennifer is an elected member of Glasgow City Council representing Ward 18, East Centre which comprises Dennistoun, Haghill, Riddrie, Cranhill and Carntyne. Jennifer was elected in 2007.
Jennifer has a degree in Arts and Social Sciences and is currently studying part time for an MSc in Public Policy at the University of Strathclyde. Before being elected to the council, Jennifer's previous positions included carrying out research for a media and communications company, and assisting with organising a yearly government survey into educational attainment.
Jennifer currently serves on the Education, Families and Children and Health, Wellbeing, Social Care and Equalities Committees in the Council. She is also on the board of the GHA, a member of the Barlinnie Prison Visiting Committee, and previously served on the City Markets Board.
ALLAN STEWART
Allan is Depute Lord Provost and is an elected member of Glasgow City Council representing Ward 17, Springburn.
Allan has overall responsibility working alongside the Lord Provost covering, many civic duties, such as Civic Receptions Internationally, attending Civic Dinners, Civic Military duties, Civic Community Events, Civic Church Services, Civic Outdoor Festivals, Civic Awards Ceremonies and Civic School Events.
Allan has worked as an electrician with the City Council's Building and Works Department and became Electrical Convener for his Trade Union, Amicus. He also became Convener of the very popular Glasgow Lighting Strategy in the year 2000 and has now been elected to Vice-President of the International Lighting Organisation LUCI (Lighting Urban Commission International).
Allan takes over as President of this organisation in 2011, which involves 66 Cities throughout the World. This is a great achievement internationally for the City of Glasgow.
His previous duties include Vice Convener of Roads & Lighting; Convener of Road Safety Committee; Member of the Management Committee GHA.
Allan is also a Director of the Clyde Regeneration Board and a Director of Culture and Sport (Glasgow) Board and a Convenor of Lighting Strategy.
