HANDYPERSON SERVICE

Our handyperson service, which is delivered on behalf of our client Glasgow City Council's Social Work Services department, provides practical support for people aged 65 and over. You can call on us to help you with small jobs around your home. All of our handypersons are trained and can carry out many small tasks for you.

There is no charge for this service however you will need to pay for any material that is used.

The handyperson service is available only to those aged 65 or over and living in Glasgow.

Jobs carried out:

changing fuses, plugs and light bulbs
Installing new batteries in smoke alarms
Fixing dripping taps
Hanging curtains
Cleaning internal windows
Pension and prescription collection
Spring cleaning and room re-organisation
Other minor household repairs

Unfortunately we don't carry out big jobs such as carpet fitting, gardening or painting and decorating whole rooms.

To use this service call 0800 587 2239 between the hours of 8:45am and 4:45pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:55pm on Friday.

Today's home care service has been disrupte dby the storm. We are doing out best to provide the service but inevitably there are issues. Please take time to look in on elderly friends and relatives to make sure they are ok.
