LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

Our Learning and Development Centre (LDC) is responsible for all learning and training in Cordia. We have six large training rooms, each equipped with smart-boards, laptops and flipcharts as standard, with two of these rooms dedicated to physical training (such as moving and handling or first aid). There are two breakout/small meeting rooms and a purpose built home which is called “Baird House”. This is a fully operational flat and was designed to enhance the training delivery of moving and handling and personal care courses with a single and double bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. All living equipment aids and adaptations available reflect that used within domestic dwellings of homecare clients within the Greater Glasgow area.
We can also offer conference facility for up to 150 delegates.
Onsite catering and hospitality is available on request when booking our centre. There is ample free car parking facilities for those travelling independently and a map is available on request. The LDC is fully accessible for disabled users and has a hearing loop system installed. We have recently been awarded ILA status. We are happy to develop bespoke training solutions and deliver open courses in a wide range of areas including first aid, load management, manual handling of people, health and safety (including IOSH) and food safety as well as a range of management and ICT-based courses.
