SCHOOL CROSSING PATROL

Cordia provide a School Crossing Patrol Service to Glasgow City Council.
Our "famous" school crossing patrollers are perfect example of a real community- based service who help ensure that Glasgow's children cross busy roads safely.
Our 400 patrollers man over 376 crossings throughout the city in the morning before school starts and at home time when school finishes. there is no upper age limit for our patrollers.
Patrollers once trained, have the authority to stop traffic with their "lollipop". They must however be wearing a high visibility hat and coat by law.
Our longest serving patroller joined the service in January 1970. Patrollers are important parts of the community and have an essential role to play in the safety of the children of Glasgow.
