Seven Hearts of Gold

Seven Cordia home carers received our special Heart of Gold award after going above and beyond the call of duty.
Seven home carers were honoured with Cordia’s Heart of Gold awards during the month of July.

On Tuesday, July 8, Patricia McGovern, Rosemary Hutchison, Michelle McGill, Carolann Linn, Patricia O’Connor, and Ann Marie Dickson all received the award after a service user’s daughter wrote to area operations manager Sandra Richie to commend their hard work and outstanding level of care.

The service user’s daughter, Carol, mentioned how happy she was about the care her mother receives, and said that if not for the Cordia carers her mum wouldn’t be able to stay at home, which is something that is very important to the family.
In a small presentation at the home of the service user in Kelvinside, the women received the award from regional service manager Carol Ann Dickie.

On Wednesday, July 9, Jean Kennedy received the Heart of Gold from Carol Ann and area operations manager Karen Gallagher after greatly assisting Glasgow City Council’s Social Work Services in their work with a service user.

We’d like to thank these seven women for their hard work and dedication to their jobs.
